I have been struggling that last few weeks to get many bites. Took a friend out with me this morning hoping to change my luck. Well… It was not a stellar day even though it started out OK. First stop my partner hooked up with a nice fish but it broke off right at the boat. I should have got the net but oh well. Looked to be around 5lb or so. A few minutes later i finally got bit and landed a 3.5. Richard turned a made a cast to the other side of the boat and and I heard him mumble. I got a bite. I turned as he set the hook and it looked like it was going to be another decent fish. Then it jumped and I started digging for the net. It looked huge. It finally came up and I got the net under it after a couple of runs. It was a new PB for Richard. It weighed 8-12 on my scales. I thought it was going to be 9 plus but it was close. Massive fish… The pic doesn't do it justice. It was way longer than my 24" culling board at least 2 or 3 ". Very exciting.

I boated two more …one about 2lb and a short fish. Richard got one more as well. All that before 9:30am. Not another bite all day. Loaded up around 2:30 when the battle ships started maneuvers on the lake. Man did it get rough.

Fun day… Wish we could have found a few more throughout the day though.

Yes he put it back in. We took a video of the release.

Gonna try and post a pic if I can figure it out.
