Spent a few day at the Gorge and had a blast! Fished for mainly spring rainbows and the good old Gorge had a great B-day in store for me. We spent the early am for kokes Sat. morning in wyo. only to land 1 small guy due to the wind pushing us off the main lake early.. Cruised back to utah and absolutely killed the rainbows. We slow drifted 1/4 Curlys in 10 to 25 feet of water right near the bottom and color didn’t matter at all. I can honestly say that I have fished the Gorge my whole life but have never caught so many fish so fast. There were many times where we had 2 3 4 and 1 time even 5 fish on at one time. Crazy! We fished into late evening the wind was screaming but it didn’t matter, in fact if the didn’t blow it probably would have ruined our pattern. One for the books for sure. Nothing to big with the largest being 21" but none the less great fishing with great friends…Can’t beat it!

Yea hair jigs are a good option when the water is chocolate milky like it was were we were. The vibration of the curlys I honestly think set it apart from what other folks were using. I’m sure a spinner would have produced well to but we were drifting super slow with quite a bit of line out so for what technique we were using the lure just produced perfectly.
