The best thing about that bass I caught is that I caught it with my trout gear. It was on a light/medium action rod with 6 pound test. Took me about 10 minutes to bring him in. I’m horrible at telling how the size of fish by looking at them. And unfortunately, I didn’t have my scale with me that day. If anyone has an idea on how much it may weight by looking at it feel free to say so. I’d like to hear other peoples guesses. Maybe I can come up with an average and call it that lol.
Looks like a great year for you DaveT. My only best for the year was a 3 1/2lber lgmouth. Many fluke caught but never big enough for a picture. Some nice blues with Tomc, but stripers just over legel lenghth of 28" May the fish gods look after you next year as well.
did not have a great year but it was not bad either. I got a 21" largemouth that went 5.74lbs and my biggest pike was only about 28". Pike was not my biggest by far but my best this year so ill take it. Hopefully i will have more time next year to target some more of the toothy critters.
