These are all really good suggestions, especially pic suggestions. It would be nice when you logged in to automatically start in the state forums section you live in. Dont really have any reason to see other states fishing forums.
Make a bookmark where you want to start. When I start a page for BFT, I’m logged in and looking at the Utah Fishing General forum. There’s no need to start at the home page for BFT. There’s no need to change the site to allow what is already easy to do.
yea come over to the rough and rowdy forum and you will get to hear/read what i really think about the current status of our country and fishing in UT… and they are even nice enough to let me say bad words some times in my rants. you will also gain insight on the fact that everything i post is always 100% correct and i do indeed know everything there is to know about fishing. except for the following:
capr, catfish, walleye, smallmouth, largemouth, trout, pike, musky, everytypeofifshintheocean, and pretty much anything else you can think of
What gives? I just tried to get on the rough and rowdy board and I’m not authorized, I know I’m rough enough. What are the requirements to gain access to this elite forum?
LOL, did you read what I wrote above? Just in case you missed it here are the requirements.
“To access this board you need a min of 50 post or have been a member for 6 months or longer and even then, it is at the moderator’s request that you gain access.
Rileyfish, Fishley and myself are the moderators”
In other words, you need ask one of the moderators to become a member of the R & R board. It has also been requested that I inform anyone that wants to be a member of the R & R board, that this forum allows cussing.
+1 on how helpful it would be to have the inline photos automatically resized.
I really wish the search functions were improved to be able to filter and find messages better. To have a list of options containing things like “only from sender X” and “must include X words” and in between “X and Y date”.
I also like the idea of a “member only area.” I’m not fond of the idea of just paying for it to limit lurkers, but rather of approved membership that must be earned somehow on the basis of some kind of merit, as wiperhunter2 suggested. I’m not at ALL in favor of increasing traffic for the sake of increasing traffic (ala social media), I am in favor of ways that that can** increase** the “signal to noise ratio” - not reduce it!
That’s the best I can think of at the top of my head.
Once you become a member of, and gain access to, the elete “Rough & Roudy” board, come back down here to us regular guys and let us know how you like it up there. Pretty good things to be learned up there? Tricks and tips described that we down here are missing out on? etc?

Give moderators the ability to attach one thread to another thread. It is not uncommon for multiple threads on the same subject to be posted at approximately the same time. It would be helpful if a moderator could combine these multiple threads into only one thread.
