Hit the Berry today with timpgoat. Fished from 7:30am to 1:00pm. Had a steady rain for most of the day except for one half hour window. Fishing was way slower than last week. With both of us only ending up boating 8 fish. Missed maybe twice that many hits, but since we were standing under the bikini top, we were not there to set the hook in a timely manner. I had big fish honors today with a 23 inch 4# cutt, sorry no photo. As I was lifting the fish after a quick measurement for the photo, Mr. Cutt decided he had had enough of this outer space experience and catapulted himself six feet back to the water. O’well no photo, I was going to release the fish anyways. That was the only fish over the slot today. We both caught a couple of 21 inch fish that went 3#s. And along with the current trend we also caught four 12 inch fish. I have caught a lot more fish in the 12 inch size this year than in the past ten???
Sounds like a great day! A day fishing in the rain is 10000000 times better than a sunny day in the office.
Thanks for the report. It might not of been as fast as you would like but at least you got out. What depth are the fish fovoring? Where you trolling?
We trolled right on top, no weight just the dive depth of the pointers. There were fish feeding on top around us of and on. I was marking fish all over the water column from the top down to 60 feet. The floating green moss has mostly disappeared. There was a little here and there but none of the thick blankets that we had great success fishing last week.
