Update on cisco run:
Went to cisco beach this morning to find a bunch of folks with nets??? No sign of cisco’s moving in as of yet, but after talking with a few folks it should be real soon. Many had rods with them and were long lining in hopes of a cutt or Mack cruising by.
Weather/water/marina:
Fogged in yesterday and today but it is thinning out. Lake is still open water with a few ice sheets floating around (be careful if you go out in a boat). Marina launch is in great shape and there is one bubbler running keeping the channel open.
When I left the marina this morning there was 4 boat trailers parked and a couple bank tanglers on the breakwater. Seen a couple vehicles on the beach that had launched as well.
Thanks for the update Pat, I was hoping to come up there on Monday for some cisco dipping but now I’m not sure. I wonder if the cisco might be in the deeper water off the Rock pile yet? Maybe I can get a boat up there for some jigging off the RP if they have move in there.
My dad was jigging at the rock pile today and didn’t find any ciscos there either.[frown] He did catch a few white fish though he said! I hope they start I am planning on going up on Thursday to net a bunch!
Still fogged in this morning and no cisco to be had! 
I’ll bet they peak next weekend.

Have you ever casted for trout from shore during the cisco run. I’ve heard that may be an excellent time to try it.
I will be there as well. I have a few friends that want to try dipnetting for the first time and I need my annual cisco fry.
I have casted for trout from shore during the run many times. I also fish from shore all winter as long as it is open water. Some days good some bad. If you fish cisco beach area be prepared for snags, I have lost much tackle there as well as many others have. I usually long line cisco when on the East side and lures and jigs from the West marina breakwater.
