So I finally got to go fishing a couple times, well a couple hours Friday and Saturday and Monday Morning. Ended up with my nephew outfishing me and everyone else in the boat… Wasn’t too hard only got one Mack Friday and another one Saturday morning… But he caught both of them… We were fishing 5 rods between the 4 or 5 of us fishing. Ended up the lead core with a kokanee rig got both of them. Pink dodger with a white squid tipped with pink maggots… Since I was shutout on the big lake, (well I had a hit, hooked it, and it decided to let go on the way in) so I ran over to Heritage Pond and got my tugs over there… It was really kind of fun, i’d get six hits per cast and finally even landed a few. Plus I was able to take my grand daughters over there for their first fishing trip… I’ve got a little work to do there to get them to figure out reeling, but they won’t turn 2 until next month… so I’ve got a little time to work on that… Anyway fun weekend even though the fishing was slow… Later J
Glad to hear that you guys got a couple of them, Jeff! I wondered if you had any luck.
Heritage pond is a fun spot for the grandkids. I have a 19 month and a 2.5 year old pair of granddaughters that I take there weekly. We are still trying to figure out how to get them to commit to reeling once the fish is hooked!
As we all know, BL is a tough one for numbers but the big one looks like a good one did you happen to measure it? Sure haven’t got many reports from BL, so thanks Jeff.
