From the looks of the web cam it looks like bear lake mite of caped last night. Does anyone have some up to date info?

I went for a little ride during lunch today just down the west side of the lake and saw alot of open water still but there is alot of ice too definately not safe ice YET…No ice on the south end of the lake and just guessing the east side is probably lacking ice too but is alot on the west side…My friend who lives in Garden City says a boat is on the rock pile today so there is open water enough to get them to the rock pile from somewhere… I will keep you posted might go down and try to walk on the edges after work today
Coming through the sinks last night it was -20.
**Over here in Woodruff it was -18. Hopefully this weather ****keeps up and it will cap. As a previous poster said, there **is some ice on the lake but not fully capped.

I fished the East side (cisco beach) and the state marina today. One boat out just South of Scout camp and one on the rock pile. Lots of nasty ice and will probably clear out soon.

My boat is winterized and covered up for the winter! I fish it from shore this time of year and do very well. Ice freeks me out, too many close calls!

Come on people we live in Utah!!! If you like the warm weather and you like to fish out of a boat then why not live in Florida or California. Utah is all about ice fishing this time of year. I have a boat to but I “looooooooove” to ice fish. Come on FREEZE baby FREEZE!!!

So how did you do? I guess i might have to pull the boat up if the lake dont freeze.
Few small cutts. No macks…I thought it would be better. Awesome weather though
