Got up early to give Mrs. BassERT her present.<br /> ^An all-expense paid fishing trip to one of our fav holes on the Nick^<br /><br />And then we were there and had the whole lake to ourselves.<br />Weather looked iffy, but we weren't gonna let it slow us down.<br /><br />Got up to ol number 6 and was just soaking those little plastic jigs. Didn't seem right at the moment and instead of running for an half an hour,<br />we plodded on until a near-sighted crappie bumped into my crappie bug (fire tiger) on a 32.<br />Just like the last few weeks the bite was very subtle and hard to detect.<br />So we busted the stink off the boat and then she got her first. YAYYYY!<br /> emoParty <br /><br />It was tough all morning and she did well. We weren't keeping, but she kept catching slabs emoThumbsup <br />I got all the little ones out of the way for her and she just did her thing and caught what she could.<br />She slimed the line with a hefty Channel Slimer and then got back to the crappie.<br />I caught way too many Rock Bass and Bluegill as well.<br /><br />Before we left, I had caught a few trashy green fish and we ended the day looking for more.<br />I had one about 2 1/2 on a squarebill KVD .<br /><br /><br />We switched between 16 and 32 about equally for the crappie, and didn't really get a pattern,…Just Deep! emoLaugh <br /><br />18 crappie 8 rockies 6 bluegill 2 LMs and 2 Spots a slimer and an Alabama Smallmouth for the day.<br /><br />Here's pics Thanks for reading!!<br /><br /> emoCool
