<br /> Thought I would put up a report on a few days of fishing.<br /> I found a few friends (boat paddles ) in a fun spot that were addicted to my crappie gear.<br /> You know, I fished for one thing and caught another emoLaugh <br /> Well they just make you look silly when the gooduns fight hard on your 4-6 lb MC line. I do love it tho!<br /> I upped the size of my jig thanks to DK's success on a trip with me and found that a 1/8oz and a 3 inch bg was fun and the gooduns love them too.<br /> <br /> Now with all this fun, throw in a 3+ lb bass to a 4lb 7 oz monster (on ul) and have fun.<br /> It finally, after a few trips, occurred to me that in addition to the many crappie rigs I have on the boat, I also carry a couple bait casters and a couple bass-rigged spinning rigs (in case of emergency)<br /> and I saw the light; put the heavier stuff on the bass gear and quit ruining the goodie (stretch,elasticity ) of my ul!<br /> A lot of this happened because I caught a more than average amount of TGF when I was going for the whites.<br /> <br /> I have regressed in the world of crappies though and the last few times were small fish <br /> I did try an obscure spot where I had good TARP catches in the past and was pleasantly surprised to find that if you go for the mudbellies go deep and slow<br /> and you will be rewarded.<br /> A couple of slabs and I left the area to see if it was good the next day I went, and it was good but numbers are low.<br /> <br /> I have been doing a little of a gypsy dance running all over, but it is fun hunting. When you do find a different pattern somewhere it is worth it<br /> I'll try to post a pic or two that represents :<br /> <br /> emoCool <br />
