BASS?

Okay, as a bass player in a R&R band for many years, it is time to re-evaluate this word…LOL
Catching them in the past, unexpected, but fun.
This year there has been bunches of them.
Large Mouth

Small Mouth

And White bass

Most have been on a floating line. Smaller buggers. Water boatman, Glow Bugs.

All I can say is, right now is bass time.

thats good u catching some bass. The bass are not being nice to me this year so idk if im going to hunt them any more this year.

You’re just awesome Miss Joni. Those are great fish and I bet those LMB put quite a bend in a Fly Rod. Good tug therapy for sure
pa

Those are some pretty sweet looking flies there! The fish are pretty nice too [:P]

And now my dear you can truly call yourself a Bassist! Those buggers can be pretty stubborn. Fun tugs!

I’ve had one of my best bass years in Utah. One of my first fish on a fly was a Largie - hitting a Wooly Bugger the Gills were digging on.

Ever try a popper with a dropper?

No. Poppers are fun, but not sure with a nymph. The Y connection I use could work. I just like tossing one or the other though. Like Dry Fly action for trout, Poppers have that same effect on me. Love “seeing” the take.
