I hit Echo on Friday. Didn’t get there till 9:00am and left around 12:30. I was fishing for perch and I ended up with 1 for bait. Other then that I hooked into a 18" brown on one of the drops.
I had several fish swim by mid depth. And I bet I could of picked up some more trout. But I only go to Echo for the perch.
Ice was solid 8" away from the shore. But it was tricky to get on and worse getting off. When I was trying to get off I would get within 10’ of the shore and the ice shelf would start sinking and the water fill up over.

Rockport may be ok drove by there today there people fishing 15 to 20 feet from the damm. More people at every outhouse. Seen track all accross the lake but looks to be some open water in the middle

I went outside it is now a whopping 18* here in West Jordan and up there has got to be real cold. So I will stay in and clean the garage. I figured it might just warm up but I guess not.
Was 18.6* at 10:00 now at 1:30 it is 18.1* Stupid thermometer is going the wrong way!!!
Looks like great weather for the Burbot bash next weekend.
Sorry for the late post. We went to Echo yesterday and fished from 8-12 and caught one 12” trout and one bait size perch all day. No one else we talked to caught anything. The slush monster was alive and well all over. Maybe with today’s temps it will be gone soon.
