We’re planning to hit Joe’s Valley this Saturday, was hoping someone could report on it. We’re hoping for some big Splake, should we put in the time for Muskies there? Any tips, areas, advice would be great. Oh, we’ll be in a boat.
Also I’ve heard there are some big fish in there. Can you confirm?
My buddy fished joes valley two weeks ago. He caught a few small splakes and some chubs. But that is all that I have heard about it this year.
going from past years. when the water is running high and the lake is merky it’s not worth even going to J.V.
there is some big fish in there! and the tigers should be getting from 20 to 30 inchs.. not a lot in there tho.. better trying to get some of the big tiger trout or big splak. but when the lake is muddy not even the cutt’s and bow fishing is worth a crap.
My sons and their buddy’s camped and fished there fri thru sun. They had poor success and said the water was really muddy from run off. In fact they said the water level rose nearly 3’ over the week end. As fuzzy said , those conditions are the one time of year fishing gets pretty tough there. Hope this helps.
