There is a meeting scheduled for Monday evening, January 12th, where this will be discussed and hopefully, a solution will be found.
Well this is stupid. Let’s not plow to the marina so crowding become an issue everywhere else. I’d love to understand the reasoning behind this. Where is the meeting?
Thanks Kent
Fees, fees, everywhere there’s fees.
It looks like various government agencies are going to come up the funding to pay for the road to be plowed.

Anglers planning to fish at Strawberry Reservoir this winter should be aware of significant changes regarding road maintenance and recreation fees.
**West Strawberry Road maintenance: **West Strawberry Road (Forest Road No. 131) — which is not maintained by the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources — may not be plowed or maintained this winter. This affects the stretch of county road from the U.S. Highway 40 turnoff to the Strawberry Bay Marina access road (Forest Road No. 452).
As a result, vehicle access to popular west-side fishing locations will be extremely limited once snowfall begins. Areas most affected include Mud Creek day-use area and Strawberry Bay Marina. Anglers are advised to monitor weather conditions closely and plan for restricted access to these areas. Winter recreation is a proceed-at-your-own-risk activity. Make wise decisions, stay alert to changing conditions and always prioritize safety.
**New year-round fees at Chicken Creek East: **The U.S. Forest Service has implemented a year-round recreation fee at the Chicken Creek East recreation area, located on the east side of Strawberry Reservoir within the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest. Fees support site upkeep and year-round access to ensure a quality recreational experience.
