This is not a fishing report, but I would ask the moderators to leave this thread on this forum as it will terminate by the end of this month. This is my initial call to once again start the process of putting together a fishing experience in 2011 for our Wounded Warriors. It can not be done by one or two people if it is to be successful. It will take a team of dedicated individuals working as Team Leaders (TL) that are willing and able to meet once a month to develop and execute a plan to make this event happen in 2011. Are you one of those Team Leaders?
Here’s my vision of what will be needed. I need volunteers to act as Team Leaders. Each Team Leader will form his own team of volunteers to accomplish his team’s goals. Team size will be entirely up to the Team Leader. The Team Leaders will be the core group that will meet monthly and make decisions about who, what, where, and when. Initially, I would like to have volunteers for the following Team Leader positions.
This is the minimum core group as I see it. This may, or may not, be expanded as we get into the planning. I will locate a meeting place in the Salt Lake City area and will schedule it for Wednesday evening, September 22, at 7:00 PM.
Again, if you are willing to commit to this very worthwhile effort and are able to meet monthly to help make the 2011 event a resounding success, then please let me know which TL position you’d like to volunteer for by giving me your name and contact information (email address AND phone number) as soon as possible. Use this thread or PM’s to respond.
Mods, I ask again, please leave this on this forum until at least the 21st of the month so I can get the widest possible dissemination of this call to arms. Thank you.
However, rather than me picking out the position, I’d rather you pick the position you would feel most comfortable with. Also, don’t forget I need contact information.
Unfortunately, my time is very limited this fall and I would be unable to volunteer. However, I would like to help out.

I live too far away (Evanston) to attend meetings in Salt Lake, but I would be willing to help in the actual event in some capacity. Let me know when that will be.

Is there any chance you could go into a little detail about what the actual event is? I come from a large military family so if I got a little more information on what the event actually is I could definitaly help get word out and get you some “Worker Bees”.Depending on the time I may actually be overseas but I am sure my family would be interested in helping all they can.

I actually don’t need any worker bees at this time. What I really need is 4 more volunteers for the following Team Leader positions. The Team Leaders will be the core group that will make this event a success and we need to start meeting this month to get things rolling.
So come on gang - don’t be shy. Step up and fill one of these 4 remaining empty Team Leader positions. I’m currently waiting for a responce from somebody that could take the Media spot, but I have NO prospects for the other 3.
I lost the e-mail address for the National Guard group they said last time they would cook and get the food when we had this again…I can do the media too…
Things are looking great; I got 2 more volunteers that take care of Transportation and Venue Coordinator Team Leader positions. I’m still waiting for a response about the Media TL position so that just leaves the Food & Drink Donations Team Leader. Don’t be shy; it’s for the very best of causes – showing our Wounded Warriors/Disabled Veterans a super day of fishing topped off with gifts and good food. It’s a party you don’t want to miss.
