Well, this morning my wife kicked my @%* fishing. She caught the first fish (smallie), carp & Tiger Musky. All I caught was some smallie’s. We had a double on and mine was a 2 lb smallie and hers was the Tiger. I got mine in quick and released to help her… I got the net out and she brought it around the boat a couple of times and finally got it in the net. About 36" I believe.

Then when we were about to leave, she had gotten tangled up in the weeds and I threw my senko out and as i was walking back to give her the rod to reel back in, while I take her rod and get it out of the weeds, a fish strikes my pole just as i was handing the pole to her. I said here, there is a fish online. I couldn’t tell how big it was because it just hit and I set the hook and gave her the rod. It a came all the way out of the water and was a nice Tiger Musky, it shook its head and snapped my line like it was nothing… My wife was in awe as she had the pole again with another musky on… well after that I said its time to go… No tigers for me today… I have a pic with her with a 3 lb smallie today but she doesn’t like the pic, so I wont post that one… She had a great time and i am glad she came out with me.

yes it was a great day for us… lots of sun & fish.. She can come with me anytime she wants… Hey when we going to hit Newton together??? let me know and I am there…

lost a bet last nite and Pineview with me on friday she goes" i think the story goes a little different then that, maybe kinda like this… The wife use to go fishing with you quite often, she would reel them in left and right, you would frantically try every lure in your tackle box, to no avail, she was a fishing god (ranking up there with Tube Dude) your Male Ego was deflated, So after that, when you went fishing you had to make up reasons she could not come along ( yeah hunny, heading to the lake, oh i am not going Fishing, i just changed the di-litium crystal on the boat motor and i want to see how the boat runs). High Maintanence, Yeah !!! nice try she is smiling, looks perfectly at home on a Fishing boat, barefoot, swim suit , sun glasses. Dude the jig is up, Confess, do i have to remind you, your under Oath (the Fisher mens Oath – Which is Lie unless there are Pictures involved, and then you swear the sun was in your eyes). You Lost the bet didn’t you, you had to take her fishing with you, despite knowing that agonizing humiliation was just around the corner,didn’t you. Ok enough brow beating by me i will stop beating you down.
Let me give you a few words of Advice for what it’s worth,
1st: Never bet with a woman, you may think you won, but when the days over and your scratching your head, well need i say more.
2nd: If your a Fish, who’s lure would you bite, one attached to your line? or one attached to your high Maintanence Wife’s line?
HMMMMMMMMMM?
3rd: If your wife out fishes you, for God Sakes lie man, Burn them Damn pictures…

I knew this was going to be a bad day for me when she caught the first fish, I mentioned that the skunk was off her shoulders now and she could relax and have a good day. I am using the almost circle hooks on dropshot rig and all she had to do was reel in and the fish would catch itself… she did a great job doing this today… As long as she keeps coming fishing with me I will take all the beating she can give me fishing… I enjoyed seeing the smile on her face for every fish she caught… She kept seeing the carp jump out of the water and was very excited about catching fish… The carp she caught hit a small rapala, it was in the mouth and all… I thought she had a tiger on because it took 30 seconds or so to see the fish… she did great today…

I read your post and laughed the whole way thru it… I cant beleive I got her to hold that slimey carp… I gave it to her and then had to wash my hands to use the camera… nasty and slimy… She didnt even know what type of fish it was… lol It took awhile to get adjusted to the space she needed from the boat to the shoreline and her throwing distance. All she could use was a closed faced spincast reel. Whenever she would get stuck I would throw mine spinning reel/pole out for her to work back to the baot and I would take her pole and get it unstuck. The first time I gave her my spinning outfit she had it turned upright and was trying to figure out how to use it that way… lol I wish I had a pic of that to show you… fun day all in all… 7 am - 1:30
