5 dollar beach beat down

Spent the morning at Lincoln beach by the warm springs yesterday looking for pike.  We threw swimbaits, spinners, bait under a bobber, and Rapalas but couldn’t make anything happen.  We saw one carp roll in front of us but didn’t see another sign of a fish anywhere.

Has anyone seen any pike in Utah Lake?

Got it, thanks for the info.  I’ll let it warm up a bit and try again.  Thanks.

That makes sense.  I’ll do some exploring and see what I can find.

What lures do they eat when you get bit off?

Pulling jigs for eyes is what I use mostly there, I had some custom jig bodies colored by TD that I have found to be the best colors for eyes,  I moved out to the basin so I don’t get to fish it much anymore, right now is time for big female eyes,

cranks, swim baits and rattle traps work, most of the northerns  I have heard of being caught is around the harbor, but thats where most  people fish, I know there are some at the island.  some have been caught cat fishing,

This time of year I think they are spawning, I do know they are all around around from the boat ramp down past the orchards, most I know of are caught fishing for other stuff, mine have been caught when fishing for eyes, I havent targeted them but had my line cut a few times by them and a few in the boat,

when the water temp get up above 50 -55 more will show up around the springs, might try around the inlets hobble creek I know has them,
