2024 Catfish Contest Ahi1953

now we need the wind to stop. Good luck. Go team North

couldn’t agree more John. Can’t wait for wind, rain, and snow to go away and bring on some 60 degree water temps. Should be a good year with plenty of water. Good luck to you but the South will prevail again.

If John had some good team mates that would pull his share it might be a contest again… I’ll try to do better… Later J

](DSCN5948 — Postimages) That’s a great cat John. I’m going to have to go with 30.5 because the picture shows that the longest point of the tail doesn’t touch the yardstick. To keep this above board, I asked the moderators to chime in on the measurement. I’ve only heard back from Cowboypirate, but he agreed 30.5 was the right call. I know it is hard to hold that cat down and watch both ends until the timer runs out and takes the shot. With a flat board like you use, there is another method that gives a good length and it is easier to get the tail flat. I nicknamed it the quarter down method. Here is a picture of it. You can see both dorsal and lateral spines are sticking out, but the cat is still lying flat on the ruler. It may work better for you.
I’ll try its just the fish never wants to pose for the shot and flops all over the place. once in a while I’ll get a nice clam kitty that just lays then but not offend. 30.5 still good. Thank you
