Also I hope you enjoyed my bowmount conversion.Thanks for viewing and thank you for your support.I would of tried hooking him on my ultralight rod just for kicks,but didn’t want to take any chances, this fish ran deep,I used 15 lb powerpro “with backing”,on my fav rod and reel,Allstar Pro ll and my shimano Sustain.I’d recommend this combo to anybody.Finally fish came up and jumped near the boat,hooked him on a small hook I use even for carp,its an eagle claw baitholder size 6 or maybe an 8,in chrome,I like these small hooks especially if lost to a fish,no harm done,usually hooks up in the corner of the mouth like in my 443 pic.Bass was released back to my lake.
Looks like I’m going to have to go to Valentine’s pond and spend a whole day there to beat that one! Nice bass.

He was actually close to 23,like I said,I’m posting another pic with better light so you can see the end of the tail,plus look ,the tape measure was half inch short of the mouth.,my largest this year at my lake,2nd biggest for the year including glades fishing.

There’s 3 weeks left til January 1, 2012 when the contest ends. I took my mom fishing at valentines last saturday and I caught a few 22inchers (just needed that 1 more inch) and she caught one that was 26in and she told me I should use it here and win but I’m honest guy and just wouldn’t have been fair to paulpro.
I still have 3 weeks, don’t count me out yet. Bass fishing was horrible this year after the great Mississippi flood we had to endure but I am hopeful I can catch one past 24in by the end of December. I’m going to give it all I got and try.
If it don’t happen and Paulpro wins then it was a good competition this year and maybe we can get more involved next year.
But remember it’s not over yet!

Caught this guy in a rather small canal 5 minutes from my house, never woulda thought it to have held fish this size, or as many for that matter, this spot once provided me for aloooooot of meals…until this last good rain came through and flooded it out
