Hi there folks,
The state record fish program saw some big changes with the roll out of the new 2016 fishing rules. One of those changes were new records now open for the individual sub-species of cutthroat trout: Bonneville, Yellowstone, Westslope, and Lahontan. Prior to 2016, the record was just generic for "cutthroat". That record still stands as the current Bonneville Cutthroat record. The certified weight records are wide open for the other 3 subspecies. Catch/release records also apply in the same way.
Other changes:
-separate hook/line and archery records for non-game fish
-catch/release records for sturgeon/salmon/steelhead
