I would say it depends on how much you use them and group size, I had 2 group 27 Les Schwab RV batts that lasted me for 7 years. I run a 24 volt Terrova and troll all day with it, I just replaced them with 2 Cabelas group 30 AGM all I can say is wow. Troll all day even in the wind and they still have 50% charge, My very first batts were group 24 and I could kill them in a few hours. Definitely charge as soon as you get home. The goal is to never let them completly discharge buy a batt big enough that you don't run it all the way down that will kill it fast.
