Let's just say that it all started with a broken brake cable.
It ended up where it was because the open passenger door caught on the end of the dock as the Suburban floated by it. Had it not caught the end of the ramp it likely would have floated out even further and pulled the boat under when it sank (the boat was attached to the trailer by the front strap).
No one was injured, probably because Kory pulled me to safety before getting run over by the front tires on the Suburban. No damage to boat or boat trailer.
We caught over 100 fish between us, but otherwise a bad day.
