Along the shore you can look for rocky areas where you can target smallmouth bass using a texas rig. I have always done well using 4" Gary Yamamoto shad shaped worms in a babby bass or green pumpkin color.
Also, off the boat you can use hotdogs to catch catfish. Some can be fairly large and are great eating.
Tough fishing for stripers off the boat in June. Look for steep rock walls with any cracks or other structure. Fishing with anchovies cut into 1/2" to 1" pieces along with some chumming can produce fast action.
