All of my spinning rods have braid and I never fish without a leader. My opinion is that nano fil is the worst line ever made. If you are not tying a leader on, then it might be serviceable.

The uni to uni knot and modified Albright are by far the best line to line connection knots.

My recommendation for braid is the suffix 832 or diawa braid.
