[cool][#0000ff]I don't fish Strawberry myself, but I tie marabou jigs for several guys who like to have those available in their arsenals on any given trip. Sometimes the sexy action of marabou entices bites when plastic ain't gettin' it.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Best colors are white...with glow heads...and chartreuse with glow heads. And the hooks should be sharp and larger than the wimpy little crappie jigs. You need room to add a big chunk of minnow and to hook and hold a large cutt.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]One of the color combos I have been making for several years is the "yellowtail white". It was originally requested that I tie them as "Strawberry Specials". They used to be sold as such by a few places.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Actually, marabou jigs in all the standard "summer" colors work well too...black, green, brown, etc. The fish are still feeding on aquatic invertebrates so anything representative will get bit. And because the fish can get selective and finicky, it is a good idea to have some very small bluegill sized 'bous too...or some very small tubes.[/#0000ff]
