Got home late last night from Kooskia and I wish I could have stayed about another week. Deer hunting was fun but I should have spent more time fishing. They have been catching fish on the Southfork of the Clearwater but as figures it was slow when I got there. I drove over to Dworshak on Saturday and Sunday and watched a few fish get caught. I have only fished on the Upper Salmon so I was blown away at how huge those fish are up there. I wanted to catch one so bad but I ended up empty handed.
My eight year old son out fished me with the help of one of the cool local fisherman. We got there on Sunday and started to rig our poles when this genteman hooked a fish. He saw my son and asked if he wanted to catch a fish. My son replied yes with an ear to ear grin. With a little help he landed himself a 33 inch female.
After that all he could talk about was how he out fished his dad. It was pretty cool. It is awesome when you run into a complete stranger like that who is so friendly!
