Usually during this time of the year the lake fills to the top and it makes launching easier off the face of the dam or on the south arm of the lake, by Causey estates. It looks like you were on the North arm by the Boy Scout camp? If you are into a little hiking, there is a good trail around the South arm that takes you to the back of the lake where the fishing can be better this time of the year.
