You must like the bigger boats, in ways I miss the smaller doughnut tubes I started out in. everything close, and having the fish splash in my face when you bring them in close. Sp, with that size of boat, how is the stretch when you bring the fish to the tube?
A side note, in reading and catching up in post on the board yesterday, I saw/noticed that you were making a rod for a winter project, but I didn't see anything posted about finishing it up. How did it turn out? I am suprised that as a tuber you don't look towards the longer rods like 10 footers? But again that is my preference. I like to drop the tip in the water when I fish under the surface and the long rods allow me to do that much more naturally. In particular I would think that would come even more into play with a higher riding boat?
