On the subject of the sawtooth run, I'll second what jigs said. I heard that they didn't release alot of smolts because they lost a huge huge percentage of them durring rearing @ the hatchery. So much so that they didn't even fin clip any of the ones that they did release because they knew that it wouldn't provide enough of an adult return to provide a fishery in 2010. I think they even lost enough that they didn't expect to have a fishery in 2011 either for the sawtooth chinook. I hope I'm wrong, but it came from a pretty reliable source. Did any one catch a fin clipped jack upstream of Ellis last year?
