Holly you are right about some states checking. I have a pontoon boat that I had to shell out $20. for a sticker to use it in Idaho. Did I get checked....no. Did the little 14' boat with an electric motor and no licenses get checked...no.
Even if we spent the money to have big brother check everywhere we go, doesn't mean it is going to be done.
It is up to you and me and everyone else.
The guys checking your boat can also be in an I don't care mood. I know that, that little $20. sticker I bought and Idaho fish and game paid some young man to sleep in his car while we launched.
