The last big 'Hoorah' of the summer
#18
That was me, I had the brilliant idea that I would take my in-laws, nephews, nieces, dogs and 'equipment' to a beach where we could have it all to our own. We did have it all to our own but my boat got massacred with sand and mud.
I snuck away for a couple hours in Indian Bay and caught some nice bass but I was looking for perch. I saw a guy on a kickboat with a stringer of nice perch so I joined him and he put me on the perch I was looking for. Thank you if you are reading this (I thanked him personally with a bag of my latest baits that were finished Friday).
I went on vacation and worked my a$$ off! 4 wheelers, boats, kids, oil changes in generators, winterizing the trailers, firewood, dirt, dust, bees? Where did the bees come from? I even saw-felt-heard a huge explosion roughly one mile from my property west of Duchesne. Must be an oil mine thing, I heard and felt the rumble in my boat and when I looked up there was a HUGE mushroom cloud north-northeast of my property, freaked me out!
I had a good time and it's awesome to hear from my friends about their weekend. I wasn't drinking German beer [Wink] but I did have fun.
(I did spent about five hours executing everything I know about Starvation walleye. I was not very successful, I landed every bite which was good but the biggest was only 15 1/4". The smallest I could make a fist around it's belly. Hopefully the temps cooling off will turn on the 'eyes for the classic)
