The last big 'Hoorah' of the summer - fsh4fun05 - 09-03-2009 Where are you going to be? I'll be at Starvation, tending crawdad traps and nephews. I imagine there will be some BFT'ers up there. Headed to Sand Mountain maybe I could consider it trolling when I'm at the hill waiting for someone to race[cool] [signature] Re: [fsh4fun05] The last big 'Hoorah' of the summer - rctalbot - 09-03-2009 Heading up to Island Park and will be fishing Henrys Lake. for the first time. [signature] Re: [fsh4fun05] The last big 'Hoorah' of the summer - kochanut - 09-04-2009 doesent really fall in line with the idea you were presenting, but.... ill be spending the last big hoorah of the sumer drinking vast amounts of german beer, enjoying the fall colors up in the hills of southwest germany.... then 8 days after that ill be back in the states......... finally. [signature] Re: [fsh4fun05] The last big 'Hoorah' of the summer - FOD - 09-04-2009 Probably see ya out at Starvation, but it wont be the last big hoorah for me there, I will be fishing it for a few more weeks. Most likely in Saleratus area. [signature] Re: [fatkidfishin] The last big 'Hoorah' of the summer - pkred - 09-04-2009 That Bike is sick. [signature] Re: [MrLipripper] The last big 'Hoorah' of the summer - Kent - 09-04-2009 Maybe so -- it's all good.[ ][signature] Re: [fsh4fun05] The last big 'Hoorah' of the summer - Vivid-Dawn - 09-05-2009 [font "Courier New"][#000080][size 3]Saturday - volunteering at a cat adoption event (we were going to take this Saturday off, but we need the extra money for all the vet bills we got lately!) Sunday - church and reading a sci-fi book Monday - probably go to Syracuse/Jensen pond at night. I don't have enough money to "waste" on gas going to Willard only to get skunked as usual (especially if all those skiers are gonna be scarin' the fish I can never catch anyway!) I decided I'm going to ask for money for Christmas, so I'll have extra gas for a few trips to Willard (or somewhere else!) next spring. Thanks and hope you caught a bunch of those little critters[fishin][signature] Re: [fsh4fun05] The last big 'Hoorah' of the summer - fairwayphilly - 09-08-2009 I'm pretty sure I saw your truck up at Starvation. I parked next to it on Sunday evening (grey Dodge mega cab) I saw the trasition tackle stickers. I put in about 5 and fished until well after dark on my way back to SLC from Vernal. Hope the fishing was good ( a little slow for me, but enough for a good fish fry on Monday) [signature] Re: [fairwayphilly] The last big 'Hoorah' of the summer - fsh4fun05 - 09-09-2009 That was me, I had the brilliant idea that I would take my in-laws, nephews, nieces, dogs and 'equipment' to a beach where we could have it all to our own. We did have it all to our own but my boat got massacred with sand and mud. I snuck away for a couple hours in Indian Bay and caught some nice bass but I was looking for perch. I saw a guy on a kickboat with a stringer of nice perch so I joined him and he put me on the perch I was looking for. Thank you if you are reading this (I thanked him personally with a bag of my latest baits that were finished Friday). I went on vacation and worked my a$$ off! 4 wheelers, boats, kids, oil changes in generators, winterizing the trailers, firewood, dirt, dust, bees? Where did the bees come from? I even saw-felt-heard a huge explosion roughly one mile from my property west of Duchesne. Must be an oil mine thing, I heard and felt the rumble in my boat and when I looked up there was a HUGE mushroom cloud north-northeast of my property, freaked me out! I had a good time and it's awesome to hear from my friends about their weekend. I wasn't drinking German beer [ ] but I did have fun.(I did spent about five hours executing everything I know about Starvation walleye. I was not very successful, I landed every bite which was good but the biggest was only 15 1/4". The smallest I could make a fist around it's belly. Hopefully the temps cooling off will turn on the 'eyes for the classic) [signature] |
