Handheld GPS
#4
I have two Gps units, the first one I bought was a Garmin II+ it is a nice simple unit. Very accurate, but doesn't have a map and you have to move to determine direction you are moving. The second is a Garmin Etrex Vista, it is smaller lighter has a map and you can download marine maps, street maps, topo maps, it has a compass that works when you are standing still, altimeter, barometer, moon phases, hunt-fish screen that tells you best times for fishing in your location, and many more features that you probably will never use. It also has a WAAS receiver which is supposed to be more accurate. The only gripe I have is it is a litte harder to use than the older simpler model.John
