Equilizer hitches

I just bought a new camper and it was very apparent after the first outing that I need to get an equilizer hitch for controling the sway. I've found the Reece style hitches with the chains and arms for around $200 on the internet, but I've herd the Equiliz - R brand is better, but they are around $500 and up. My question is are the chain style good enough to get me by for say 10 outing a year or are they a complete waste of money. I don't mind paying for quality, I just want to be sure the extra $300 is money well spent.
