can someone tell me wat this fish is?
#26
I have run in to a few of them bio fisholigist in the last 40 years, and it seems that dozen years or so they are wanting to change the name of some fish or another because they find a minor differance between a couple fish that looks almost identical...

I caught me a red horse sucker and was going to enter it in the state compition for size, aperently I entered it under the wrong species, I had a golden red horse sucker... LOL... then he explained to me there are 40 different species of suckers in the state of michigan.. on top of that there are sub species of suckers to boot...

its kinda like trying to tell the differance between a georgous blue eye'd blond and a georgous green eye'd blond... or a 440 hemmy with blue or red gasket material.... LOL[laugh]

it goes family species then sub species, Fresh water Black Bass is the family, smallmouth is the speciese then what ever a small mouth can cross breed with is a sub species...

we have striped bass and whippers in lake errie, but for some reason they dont want to move north up threw the detroit river..... I wonder if it is the Fermy Plant located on an island in the middle of the river [pirate]

as for walleye, Walleye is the family, green yellow golden saugeye are all species...

ya, it would be a night mare trying to remember the names and how to identify each and every species.... Hockysticks, I bearly remember my own name....[angelic] I think most days it is arf, some days its grrrrr, depends on what my pup wants...
