How do you prepare for a fishing trip?

Great site. One of things I do to prepare is talk to any knowledgeable fisherman. And 40 years is a heck of a lot of experience, so I'd listen up to what you say. I also start making lures! The way I fish I loose a lot of lures, but I can make new ones quick and for free.
