The yellow bass are mostly in the southern and eastern areas of the lower 48. The stripes are a little more solid than the white bass and it has a yellow tint to it. Google yellow bass and you'll see. It is basically a white bass, but obviously a different species. They reproduce other yellow bass, these are not white bass that sometimes are yellow. It is a consistently produced genetic genotype, so yes it is a different species.
