Eating fish from Lake Michigan

So now that I have about 10 pounds of trout filets inthe freezer my wife jumps online and sees that "they" are recommending not eating more than 1/2 pound of fish (trout, salmon, etc) a month from the lakes because of the mercury in the fish.. If this is really the case then I'm sitting on 10 months of fish for the two of us and we haven't gone salmon fishing yet..

Any fish that area a lot have any thoughts on this??
