They used to be in there, but died out due to reduced water quality and inflow. That’s my knowledge on the situation at least. Perhaps those have been solved, and the DWR thinks they will take hold.
I don’t have any way to really target Kokanee since I’m shore bound, but it should be a good opportunity for others. I suspect the will be on the smaller side, but that’s just speculation on my part. At the very least, a spawning population should provide a good forage base for the large trout that lurk in there.
