Those are cool, but they do require slats, so somewhat of a frame so to speak.
I saw them many years ago. Don't hear of anyone using them, but they are still around, so they must be selling.
They roll up nice and made of a good material.
More along the lines of a Zodiac....Boat. Not kick able and looks like more for multi person.

I wondered about removing half the floor and making it kickable (without a standup platform, seems like a simple mod and they seem close enough to the scadden model that for over 300 bucks cheaper you could have just about the same thing. But then again, I wonder about something smaller anyway, so it probably isn't for me even though I am 6' tall, it just seems like a 9 footer would be too big?

Nine footer is pretty normal....nice on the waves.
I went from a 6' Alpine to an 11' Cardiac Canyon, and now a 10'6" Outlaw.
The wider the boat, the more stable as well.
I don't stand up every trip, but I can if I want to, and I like that.

You must like the bigger boats, in ways I miss the smaller doughnut tubes I started out in. everything close, and having the fish splash in my face when you bring them in close. Sp, with that size of boat, how is the stretch when you bring the fish to the tube?

A side note, in reading and catching up in post on the board yesterday, I saw/noticed that you were making a rod for a winter project, but I didn't see anything posted about finishing it up. How did it turn out? I am suprised that as a tuber you don't look towards the longer rods like 10 footers? But again that is my preference. I like to drop the tip in the water when I fish under the surface and the long rods allow me to do that much more naturally. In particular I would think that would come even more into play with a higher riding boat?

Great, thanks for sharing that with us.
It makes it special to catch one on a rod you know you made yourself. That is all I fish with anymore, is homemade, somehow it just doesn't seem the same with a store bought one.

Amen! And the Mojo home rolled have. The test day, I was the first to catch and the most...I think it was the rod.....maybe the homemade fly....or the Sharkskin with the homemade furled leader....[laugh]
Now I could tell you I sewed my waders, but....well, that is another story...LOL
