Since we Californians have such a diversity of fishing available to us what are your top three favorites???

Freshwater applies as well.

for me
#1 would be a wide open surface iron yellowtail bite
#2 30-50# YFT on the iron
#3 Halibut (yummie)

  1. Top Waters and/or reaction fish in early fall.
  2. Yellowtails on light tackle (Barries too! on single strand wire and #12 test)
  3. Anytime mama gives me a kitchen pass!!!

  1. Light tackle tuna
  2. Light tackle Yellowtail
  3. Any combination of the above

  1. Float tubing or surf fishing for halibut and white seabass
  2. Inshore Calico Bass fishing
  3. Freshwater Bass fishing in small ponds or streams
