WHERE CAN I GET A SCRIP?
I canât pass up such an easy spam offer. Send $10 to Fish Taco Chronicles, 14340 Bolsa Chica, #E Westminster, Ca. 92683 for a magazine sent to your house each quarter. This is a quarterly mag devoted to fresh and salt from Baja to Alaska. Dave Strege outdoor columnist for the OC Register wrote that the mag was âoffbeatâ while Pete Thomas of the LA Times wrote that it is more fun than all of the other fishing mags.
Hello Sean,
Iâll second that, I Love reading FISH TACO CHRONICLES!

Iâve let all my magazine subscriptions expire. The local rags all have info thatâs a week old at best, and I donât really put any stock in âtackle reviewsâ that have illustrations from the manufacturerâs (usually big advertisers) catalogs.
As for the non-local mags, I really donât care how they flyfish for bonefish in Florida ![]()
You are looking at your finest source of (literally) up to the minute information.

you cant get any closer to how the fish are bighting than to here it from the guy who caught it. most of the times yesterday and if your lucky today.
now I dont know any one who carries a laptop with them fishing but you could even quite posibly get an up to the minute report.

I let all mine expire. I noticed during prespawn they all had articles how to fish the prespwan. Then the samething would happen in each phase of the fishing season untill the prespawn again. I donât have to read about how to fish the prespawn every or other phases every year. Most articles are almost identical from year to year so what do I gain, besides a slim wallet? If I wanttofind about a new fishing method or a new lure or new equipment, I go to the internet.
Do I get a vote? If so I vote for Fish Taco Chronicles. In addition Even though their info is usually a week old, I could not imagine not subscribing to Western Outdoor News. I have been a subscriber for about 15 years.
NO HARD FEELINGS TO W.O.N. But About 15 yrs. ago, as a Kid, I thought W.O.N. Was The Weekly Sermonâ Where To Go, And What May BeâŚUntill A Few Years After, My Brother-In Law Explained To Me " This Is NOT ! Breaking NEWS, But, Late NewsâŚCrushed By The Truth ! We Started To Referâ To It, As The Western Outdoor Blues ! But We Still Realized, HOW SIGNIFICANT , That PAPER DATA BASE , Was, And To This DayâŚI Cannot Function With-out It ! I Think I Need To Go To The Betty Ford Clinic, And Ask Them âŚ??? âHOW MANY PEOPLE, ADMIT THEMSELVES FOR " FISHING PUPPY DOG SYNDROME " The Need To " WAITâ For The Mail Man To Deliver the New W.O.N. Paper âŚ? Check Me InâŚ
While this is true the info is always a week late, and the bite changes hour to hour, the old cliche of you should have been here last week will always hold true. At least it will give you a reference point of where to begin. Especially if you havenât been on the water for some time.
I donât know who posted that and I would like to say thanx but the site is not even close to being complete yet. In-fact it is really poorâas of now. Hope to have it looking better by the end of the month.
