Willard not happening

Yesss! Pack doing great, and so are Badgers! Super Bowl and national championship?

im afraid you would wear your arm out moose any fish in that tub is full of shad.but hey even a blind squirell can find a acorn occasionaly.[sly][sly]

If I had to guess - I would say the wipers and walleyes haven’t stopped feasting on all the shad - instead they are just doing it at night now. Of course fishing will be slower than usual with the abundance of shad and poor wiper #'s.

But hey - you can’t catch anything if you don’t have a hook in the water. All large predatory species at Willard raid the rocks at night for food to some extent or another - casting swimbaits, crankbaits, etc off the rocks will catch fish… I promise.[;)] Thing is not many people like to walk up and down the rocks for a couple miles a night casting[:p]

.sure like to know where them there channels the twins said there buddy had shad swimin through.if fished that beast for 40 years and aint seen no channel other than the one than comes in.

The channels we were reffering to are along freeway bay. There is a huge pond back there that (if the water level is up) have “channels” that go between the trees which connect the main lake and the pond.

This came from a very relieable source which was a worker at Fish Tech. They would toss there lures into these channels bewteen the trees and limited out on wipers very quickly. Oh yeah and they snagged a ton of lures on the trees as well! When the water level is down there is only one channel and if you ever walked along the shore from North Marina to freeway bay you will know exactly where that is. I have been fishing there for 1 year and have found that pond and channel. Best of luck to ya.

This area you are talking about has been referred to as the MUD HOLE for years, and can be very good for a lot of species at different times of the year, just that sometimes it’s not full of water, but when it is you can have a great day in there.

This spring that area was full of water and weeds. Just to hike around the shore of freeway bay I had to wade across several thigh deep channels. Saw lots of line tangled up in the trees there…signs of a fishing spot. I am sure that area is what our buddy was referring to.
