Misery loves company. I like you guys and all, but I am happy to hear that the stench coming from the lake wasn’t just me. The only hit I had today was a 3 lb shad foul hooked so at least I got a good tug.
Thanks TD gives me some good ideas to work with. Thank you. J
Sounds like a tough day. The weather (Utah spring) would settle down I think it would help, as you said a couple days after a front to stabalize things. Since work interferes with my fishing time it is hard for me to get out only on days when things should be stable. Cats have been slowish yet, white bass dont seem to have bunched up, walleye have been giving me the middle fin and even trout have been slow. It will get better (I keep telling myself) Glad you found a couple. As for the Flygodess lady that sucks that somebody would bring a boat that close to you, some idiots. I really do wish they would more closely enforce the distance rule. I realize that even 100 feet isnt far but 20 or 30 feet??? You will both get them next time.
Unfortunately, the proximity rule (150 feet) applies only to boats that are going fast enough to create a wake. Slow trollers can be as stupid, unthoughtful and unsportsmanlike as they wish. And they are pretty good sometimes and showing just how bad they can be…especially to folks in tiny boats, tubes and toons.
