Hey, we have a symbiotic relationship here
Glad you enjoyed my report.
Epic day… Always love and appreciate your reports. Thanks for sharing!

Made a return visit. I really thought it was going to surpass last week’s trip with ten fish in the first 30 minutes, but they got wise to me I think [frown] Still got some good ones though.[inline “other 19 small.jpg”]

Water temp had dropped about five degrees. I was finding more fish deep than last time. After they shut down on lipless cranks and shallow cranks, I was able to scrounge up some more with a drop shot, wacky rig and deep diving crank.

Beautiful fish and report! Glad they are doing so well. Many pelicans hanging around?
Thanks! They were earlier in the year. There were a ton in the spring before the water came up, but they definitely thinned out as the year progressed. I haven’t seen any the past few times I’ve been up there.
I think I’ve only scene pelicans there maybe a handful of times and usually congregating around the inlet..I mean a few pelicans in this place could do it some good.. More darn silver dollar size bluegil than manageable
They’re good bass food though ![]()
Well that too, but there is also a million in a half small 4-8" bass every year also.
I used to catch a lot of those there, but not too many the past couple of years. They also make good food for the bigger bass though.
