Thanks for all the responses! I do have a few fellow bft’ers on here that i wonder what your handle meansor where the name came from like duckdog1us, coyote spinner, lavaman to name a few…
I hope this thread keeps a rolling
Ok, I’ll bite. Cool thread. Nice idea Bryce.
My last name is Wyllie, and I’ve gone by Coyote as an alter ego for years. My grade-thru-high-school in Chicago was known as a Preppie School and everyone used everyone else’s last name. Most families had a kid in every other grade (well except when the Scalias descended - and hit about every grade!)
Back when I was Homebrewer - had a lot of concoctions that shared the theme.
As some of you may know, I’m a bit of a rabble-rouser at times, akin to the many Indian stories involving the character “Coyote” generally portrayed as a mischeif maker. I do what I can!!! Also something of a “SuperGenious” at times - legend in my own mind dontchaknow! I should print THAT on a flag!! haha.
“Spinner” - I like and always have liked fishing spinners. Gives me something to do while watching a bobber, or waiting for a twitchy tip. Plus - for the sake of a fishing forum, figured I’d “spin” a few yarns from time to time. Now thanks to the site I’d say, I’m making my own spinners - so taking it to the next level.
My names Cody and sum old guy at work always called me cod all my buddies from bowling called me heavy so I mixed the two now it has stuck over the last 10 years. Why don’t you get a real game and get BF3 for ps3?
The name on my bass boat … The name has faded from the boat, but I am still stuck with it.
My wife calls me an “obsessive compulsive fisherman”. (OCF)
Down the tubes? Totally tubular? Use tube jigs a lot?
Duh.
** By the way, thanks for the wakeup call yesterday morning when you hit the wrong speedial button and then hungup just as I picked up the phone. I got up early but decided to catch a nap after TubeBabe left. Only time all day that phone rang.**
TD - sorry bout that, honestly my son plays with my phone when the alarm went off and i noticed he called you! funny thing is he called my dad in samoa on my landline at 7am mdt time and in samoa it was like 3 am and my dad answered and my son jibberjabbered
Just like TDT I wore TyeDye at the ski resorts and the backcountry so I did not look like a manican from REI. As the name TyeDyeTwins started to stick it became the way people remembered us.
TDT joined up first here on BFT and the other sites. I would not have anything to do with it at 1st, but then started to use his account.
Quickly we figured out that dispite being twins we have different opinions. In every pair of twins there is an evil one, or one that is more evil than the other[;)]. Hence the name EvilTyeDyeTwin.
Troutcreek is where we own a little piece of heaven in the Snake Valley range. Trout creek is where we get our water share. Trout Creek canyon is where we hunt Muleys and Elk. Trout Creek is where we catch beautiful little Bonnevilles.
A good salmon and steelheading friend of mine from Sun Valley use to wear a t-shirt that played on the Got Milk marketing campaign. It said Got Bait? in the same font that they used in those ads. Can’t remember what (if anything) was on the back. . .
Because I fish my own cured roe for salmon and steelhead almost exclusively - and because I always feel a little bit better with bait on my hook for whatever I’m after - I really got a kick out of that shirt and wished I had one of my own.
I have been known to wear a lucky or favorite t-shirt for fishing or even certain types of fishing, until it is so worn out that it looks like those mesh shirts dudes used to wear on the beach back in the 80’s. ![]()
I never did get me one of those shirts tho. [:/]
How do you think TubeDude got his name???![]()
