I took this week off to do some catch up around the home stead and also to do some serious fishing in Humboldt bay.
Last week was warm and partialy sunny, this week the snow level is hovering around 1500-2000’.
I got blown off the bay yesterday.lol The winds got up to 25 and I was taking water over the stern on the drift while tossing plastics.
The “drift” got to be about an 8 knot troll and I figured that I needed another layer of real warm clothing to keep warm…what a day!
I did get rapped a couple of times on fishtraps but didn’t stick what ever it was that bit.(probably moving too fast)
Lots of bait moving in the bay and tons of what I think were perch on the meter so it’s shaping up, now if the weather will just turn around and calm down.
But it was a day fishing! And it was good to get out on the water even if I did freeze my fanny off. lol
