Took my 4 year old fishing to the left of the upper boat ramp at Chick dam. He caught his first ever fish on a good ol’ red (live) worm. He got a little bored after four fish, so I put the last one in a bucket with water and he “petted” the little fish while I threw a tiny spinner and filled the bucket up with more. Even though he asked if he could “please, please, please take them home to keep,” I convinced him to leave them so he could come back later and play with them. \<br /\>\<br /\>There were some sizable gar tailing around at the edge of the eddy and the current but I couldn’t convince the other bank fishermen that they weren’t bass. I was really hoping one of them would hook one. \<br /\>\<br /\>
