You all know I’m hungery for places to walk on water. I am ready for first ice at utah lake. I heard that they are doing some construction on the outlet channel. my favorite place. Is it true? What other skinny channels does utah lake have?
They are repair and rebuilding the pump intakes and outlets. There is an dike across the channel about a hundred feet up channel from the end of the fence. It will probably be a couple of months before it is removed. I fished the lake side of the dike 4 weeks ago and took home 8 fat crappies. I could only catch one white bass. I caught the crappies on a small night crawler 30" under a bobber.

If I rember right that gives me about 2 to 300 feet of channel to the lake, that could freeze?
300’ seems about right, however the most productive areas nearer to the pumps will dry for awhile.
