I did actually see those strippers and they were covered with nasty sores. I meant stripers, geez sorry.

I found that if you use an attractor in gold or silver with sparkleys in them seam to work as well.

🕶 **I strongly suspect that if there were plenty of shad in the open lake that those “strippers” would not be as plentiful inside a marina, with lots of people and carpkind. But, like most critters, they do what they gotta do to survive. If that means showin’ off for the nice folks to get some ice cream, then they go for it. Just like people, some fish just got no pride.**

If you are fishing from shore where is a good place to go.

🕶\*\*At Utah Lake? There are several good “early season” possibilities. \*\*

* * *

**1. Off the rock dikes at the Utah Lake State Park…Provo Boat Harbor. Sometimes some good fishing inside the harbor too.**

* * *

**2. Same for Lindon and American Fork Boat Harbors.**

* * *

**3. On both sides of the pumphouse at the mouth of the Jordan River. Once the gates open to downstream flow, it produces current both upstream and downstream. That brings in lots of fish.**

* * *

**4. Off the end of the dikes at Lincoln Beach.**

* * *

**The water is already high enough that shoreline fishing is limited. The increasing growth of brush and weeds around the lake makes it impossible to find many clear spots that are fishable and productive too.**

* * *

**On the other hand, there are many places where you can wade out with insulated waders into 2 or 3 feet of water, and move along outside the weed lines to cast for walleyes and white bass…and later for catfish.**

* * *

**That’s why I like my float tube. Once I find a place to launch I can fish a lot of spots ignored by boaters and inaccessible to bank tanglers.**
